Bonagee Arcade were playing Swilly Ramblers at home this evening.
Swilly came out from the start with a good game plan and were comfortable playing the ball out from the back, passing the ball with ease through out the park and it didn't take them long until they got their open. Bonagee never got to grips with the game at all and before half time Swilly got their 2nd.
But after making a few subs at half time Bonagee managed to get a foot hold in the game and after a few tight battles in the middle of the field Bonagee managed to get their 1st goal with a quick throw to Caolan Maltha who worked his way into the 18yrd box to send the ball into the top of the net. Now with a grip on the game they pushed on and came close on a few occasions with Charlie Kelly clipping the top of the crossbar from 20yrds out, but it was Kaymin Shortt who made all the difference with an outstanding performance he drove the ball with a fantastic unstoppable shot to level the game 2-2 . This was as much as either team could manage and the game finished with a well deserved draw for both teams, Kaymin Shortt was without doubt the best player on the park and gets our Man of the match. Well done to both teams on a very exciting game.
Thanks Charlie.

Bonagee Arcade 5 Capry Crusaders 4
Bonagee Arcade were playing at Home against Cappry Crusaders in the 1st round of the U14 1st Division Cup. After both teams fighting hard to finish top of the league with Cappry topping the table, this was always going to be a good game, but nothing could prepare us for the game that was. Both teams were fantastic and battled hard up, down, over and back the field for the full 70 minutes, plus an extra time 20 minuets for the game to end up 0-0 after it all. Chance missed, shots saved everything you could hope for in a game, then to finish off in Penalties.
Bonagee won 5 - 4 after scores from Jamie Cunningham, Darragh Kirk, Jake Patton, Philip Dodoo and Scott Thompson. Man of the match has to go to our Keeper Cathal Mc Garvey who came up from our under 12 team after both our Keepers were away for the weekend.
Well done to both teams on what turned out to be one of the best games I have ever been evolved with.

Bonagee Arcade U14 1st Division were playing away to Swilly Ramblers this weekend. The game was reversed and was played at Bonagee home pitch. Bonagee started the stronger team and it took only 7min for Kaymin Shortt to drive the ball past Swillys keeper after a good ball crossed in by Philip Dodoo from the corner. From here on the rest of the half was played mostly in Swillys half, but fair play to them they battled hard to keep the score 1-0 at half time. The second half started of the same and again Kaymin was at the heart of things, He twisted his way from midfield through Swillys defence to be brought down in the box for a penalty. Up steps Ben Gallagher and again placed a sweet shot into the back of the net. Swilly didn’t give up and with great persistence managed to get a goal back. Now with the wind their sails they pushed forward and battled hard against a great Bonagee back four, but were unable to get an equalizer. A great performance by Kaymin Shortt, Ben Gallagher and Jake Patton. Final score 2-1 to Bonagee
